One of our first clients in February 2021, Katie and Sean came to us for ideas to extend their home and make best use of a tandem garage connected to the side of the house. Some of the garage’s structure needed amending, so we reduced the overall depth. Some say this is taking space away, but this made best use of the space, reduced build costs, and made best of the patio area in front of the raised garden.

A simple flat roof extension with two rooflights bring plenty of light into the room, making the garage and dining room into one open space. A permitted development extension, the drawings took 10 days from survey before having our online meeting to discuss the options and amendments. Once plans were agreed, a further 5 days later we had full working construction plans submitted to Building Control. Work started a few weeks later and by the summer the client was enjoying the new open space.
